Legal transparency
We document every channel we use so students and universities know SciFabour is a document delivery service, not a pirate repository.
Our promise
SciFabour never sells PDFs from illegal sources. We charge for research, requests, and delivery through permitted channels. If we cannot obtain a paper legally, we do not deliver it and we adjust or refund the service fee.
Legal sourcing channels
Each request is routed through one or more of these paths, in order of preference:
Open Access & repositories
We use legally available copies — publisher pages and trusted repositories — whenever the license allows it.
Author & research networks
When permitted, we contact authors or use sharing mechanisms the author or institution allows — always with respect for copyright.
Licensed document delivery
We may use licensed interlibrary or document delivery partners where agreements exist, passing through only the service cost we incur.
Institutional agreements
Where SciFabour or your institution has formal access, we use those rights instead of ad-hoc workarounds.
What happens on each request
- 1
DOI validation
We normalize your DOI and pull metadata from Crossref.
- 2
Price check
We look at how the paper can be obtained legally and confirm the price with you on Telegram before any payment.
- 3
Sourcing attempt
Our team tries author, licensed, or institutional routes and keeps you updated on Telegram.
- 4
Secure delivery
PDFs are sent privately in your Telegram chat with our team — never through public indexes.
- 5
If we fail
We tell you on Telegram, explain why, and you don't pay for that paper.
What SciFabour is not
We are not Sci-Hub, LibGen, or any shadow library. We do not scrape paywalls, share uploaded pirated files, or encourage copyright infringement. Takedown and copyright concerns are handled on our Copyright page.
